May was about taking friction out of two places it hurts most: filling out the 1Form and managing authorizations. Subcontractors now spend less time typing and more time getting qualified, and GC review teams get through their queues faster. Here is what shipped.
Autofill your 1Form straight from your documents
Stop retyping what is already on the page. Upload a certificate of insurance, bonding letter, EMR letter, or construction license, and COMPASS reads the document and fills the matching fields for you. This month we extended OCR autofill across insurance (COI), bonding, construction licenses, and EMR, with the data flagged for review so nothing slips through unchecked. Less manual entry, fewer transcription errors, and a faster path to a complete submission.
A clearer renewal and authorization experience
When subcontractors sign in, they now move through a single guided flow to confirm the general contractors they work with, accept updated terms, and manage their authorizations in one place. The experience replaces scattered steps with one clear path, so subs always know who can see their profile and what they are agreeing to before they continue.
Authorize an entire GC group at once
Many general contractors operate as a family of related entities. Now, when a subcontractor authorizes one of them, COMPASS can extend that authorization to the contractor's related companies automatically. No more repeating the same approval for every subsidiary. The authorization screen shows the related entities up front, so it is always clear who is included.
Public profiles for subcontractors
Subcontractors now have a dedicated public profile tab, making it easier to put verified business, financial, and safety information in front of the GCs they want to work with. It is one more way to turn a completed 1Form into business development, not just compliance.
Faster reviews for GC teams
Autoflagging now runs in the background instead of holding up the queue. Reviewers can see when flagging is still in progress, and reviews are no longer blocked waiting on it. We also refined the rules so OSHA autoflagging skips years a subcontractor has answered "No," which means fewer false flags and less cleanup for your team.
