June was about closing loops. We brought meeting scheduling inside the app, made OCR autofill both smarter and easier to wait on, gave subcontractors and review teams more control over which GCs they work with and the reviews in their queue, and shipped a round of reliability improvements. Here is what shipped.
Book a meeting without leaving COMPASS
Scheduling a meeting no longer means bouncing out to a separate tab. A reusable in-app scheduler lets you pick a time and confirm right where you already are, so demos, onboarding calls, and check-ins are one step instead of three. It is available anywhere COMPASS needs to get time on a calendar.
Smarter OCR autofill, with clearer loading
OCR autofill got another pass. Behind the scenes we added prompt versioning, so we can improve how documents are read without disrupting what already works, and sharpened the prompts for insurance policies. On expired insurance policies, autofill now flags the issue instead of quietly filling stale dates. And while a document is being read, a new sidebar spinner and shimmer make it obvious what is still loading, rather than leaving you guessing. We also refined the checks that catch a registered-name mismatch across insurance, W-9, EMR, and OSHA documents.
More control over the GCs you work with
When a subcontractor links with a general contractor that operates as a family of related entities, COMPASS can now extend that connection to the related companies automatically, so a sub does not have to approve each one by hand. And when you remove a GC from your list, its access is removed right along with it. Straightforward controls that keep who-can-see-what accurate.
Review-request emails for GC teams
Review teams no longer have to live in the app to know a review is waiting. COMPASS now sends an email when a review is requested, keeps the push-back emails that tell a reviewer something needs another look, and rolls the day's activity into a daily digest. Fewer missed hand-offs, and a queue that keeps moving even when your team is heads-down elsewhere.
